Training of specialists at the level of international standards

 

The mission of the Institute is “Training of qualified medical personnel through continuous professional education of specialists with integration into the international educational system as a key indicator of the development of the Health Care System”. educational system as a key indicator of the development of the Health Care System”. Since 2016, the International Institute of Postgraduate Education holds advanced training and refreshment courses in accordance with the Model Programs for Advanced Training and Retraining of Medical and Pharmaceutical Personnel approved by the Order ref. 165 dated April 14, 2017.

Over the past period, the Institute has conducted advanced training courses for 4050 representatives of practical health care in 38 majors and retraining for 132 students in 28 majors.

The institute passed institutional accreditation and specialized accreditation of educational programs “Obstetrics and Gynecology, including children’s Obstetrics and Gynecology” and “Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation, including children’s Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation” for a period of 5 years at the Eurasian Center for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Education and Health.

The goal of the International Institute is to train healthcare professionals of higher and secondary education, arrange on-site courses, both in the Republic of Kazakhstan and in the countries of the near and far abroad. To achieve this goal, innovative training technologies and foreign education have been developed and implemented with the strengthening of the practical component of the program. Trainees can enjoy advanced training and retraining courses using modern educational content. The institute’s education is provided by a highly qualified faculty consisting of candidates and doctors of medical sciences, professors, associate professors, as well as honored scientists and researchers, educators, correspondent members and academicians and health workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On-site trainings are organized in accordance with the contract with the local health care administration of Almaty and dedicated to the following topics: Integrated management of childhood diseases; Acute Coronary Syndrome; Emergency therapy for Circulatory Arrest (Defibrillator); Newborns Care Features; Emergency Critical Assistance – Simulation Technologies; Integrated management of childhood diseases; Emergency and intensive care in Obstetrics; Laparoscopic Surgery in Gynecology.

The courses are designed to cover 67 topical issues of practical public health. These are obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, anesthesiology and resuscitation, gastroenterology, pediatrics, radiation diagnosis, management and public health care. There is a debriefing for on-site courses in the cities of Kazakhstan (Nur-Sultan, Aktau, Karaganda, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Taldykorgan, Turkestan, Uralsk, Shymkent, Kyzylorda, Aktau, etc.).

All-inclusive Foreign On-site Courses enable students to acquire not only theoretical, but also practical skills in the field of the chosen major. During the training process, students have the opportunity to combine study with recreation. The international programs are delivered as per the signed collaboration memorandums with leading clinics of South Korea, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Austria, Georgia, the Czech Republic, Germany, India, the Republic of Slovenia and Italy.

The University Hospital of Sun Choon Hyang in South Korea, Bucheon trained 22 participants in modern aspects of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of gynecological patients, selected issues of Gastroenterology and health care management.

Memorial Clinic in Istanbul trained about 35 trainees in women’s reproductive health and ultrasound diagnostics, as well as emergency care courses and health care management in health insurance courses were delivered in Hisar Clinic in Georgia.

The close cooperation resulted in professional trainings for 39 courses of advanced training in the field of management and clinical majors in health care.

International conferences are held with the involvement of specialists from leading clinics of the near and far abroad. Master classes with the use of new and advanced medical technologies are delivered by highly qualified doctors of various profiles.

The International Institute of Postgraduate Education provides advanced training and retraining of specialists within more than 120 programs covering relevant topics in the field of practical health care. The departments of the Institute are working at the facilities of Rakhat Accredited Clinics Group (website http://rklinik.kz), as well as using the facilities the leading clinics of Almaty.
