Just share with us a few words about the international cooperation of the Center.

 

The City Cardiology Center is equipped with unique highend medical equipment. Highly professional specialists work here. They have a constant practical experience and know the most relevant methods of diagnosis and treatment, cooperate with colleagues from South Korea in modern diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients.

The Cardiological Center signed memorandums of cooperation with three clinics and universities in South Korea, in Turkey, where our specialists are trained at the workplace. So, 15 doctors and 1 nurse have already been trained there.

Two cardiologist doctors were trained on rehabilitation matters in India.

Within the framework of international cooperation, the Master classes are held with the participation of world's leading experts.

The Center constantly develops professional links with leading homeland clinics specializing in cardiological and cardiosurgical profile.

 

 

 

What departments function at the Center?

 

The departments of round-the-clock emergency help patients as follows:

- Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation. - Department of Resuscitation and Intensive Care.

- X-ray Department.

- Interventional Arrhythmology Department.

- 6 cardiological departments provide examination and treatment of patients with unstable angina, acute myocardial infarction, complicated forms of arterial hypertension, cardiac rhythm and conduction disorders and myocarditis in accordance with the diagnosis and treatment reports of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the European Society of Cardiology and the American Association of Cardiology.

- Self-supporting Unit is equipped with 20 beds and admits patients on a paid basis: admission and in-house treatment of patients who do not need emergency care, without their referring to a medical institution. About 650 hospital patients a year are treated here.

- Clinical and diagnostic department.

 

 

 

 

 

 

What are the statistics of the references to your hospital?

 

Every year more than 14 thousand patients turn to the emergency department, including 11 thousand that are hospitalized.

Emergency Department provides examinations for differential diagnosis and determination of indications for hospitalization.

We have implemented a telemetric transmission of an electrocardiogram (ECG). The ambulance station notifies of transportation of patients. Electrocardiograms are transmitted by ambulance teams via telemetric communication, whose findings serve to deliver patients to the hospital.

 

 

 

What innovations are being introduced in the Cardiology Center?

 

Implantation of the Bioresorbable Mgarmaris Strut. The natural contractility of the artery wall is restored after complete resorption of the strut, the local inflammation and restenosis are minimal.

 Ensuring the safety of the patient by using a closed loop in the artificial blood circulation

The closed loop has a positive effect on the hemodynamic properties of the blood both during the artificial blood circulation and in the postoperative period.

 Minimally invasive aortocoronary bypass surgery is performed through MIDCAB Thoracic Access.

Due to low traumatism, the level of pain is reduced and the dose of analgesic drugs is minimal.

 

 

 

The World Winter Universiade was held in Almaty in 2017. Have there been foreigners' complaints to the Center during the days of the Universiade?

 

During the Universiade, the FISU Honorary Member (International Federation for Student Sport), a Finnish citizen, Risto Nieminen, 65 years old was treated with an urgent coronary angiography with stenting of the infarction-dependent artery. Mr. O. Matytsin the President of the University Sports Federation highly appreciated the professionalism and organization of the Center. The assistance was provided to other participants and fans.

 

 

 

How does the Patient Support Service Centre work?

 

For the last three years there are no well-founded complaints. All patients' complaints are resolved promptly right here and right now.

Feedback with patients is supported through the following social networks: Facebook, the blog of the head of the Department of Health and med-eso.kz and almatymed.kz web-sites.

The Service Centre conducts their monitoring and provides timely responses and comments as they become available.

 

 

 

What are the main activities of the Center for the forthcoming period?

 

- Implementation of the Roadmap towards integrated model of medical care for acute myocardial infarction, the State program “Densaulyk” in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2016–2019.

- There is daily medical care for patients with acute coronary syndrome, especially in terms of bringing it into compliance with the requirements of the European Society of Cardiology and the American Association of Cardiologists.

- Development of planned cardiosurgical and arrhythmic care.

- Development of medical tourism.

- Systematic training and professional development of specialists with involvement of clinical bases and specialists from neighboring countries and beyond.

- Expansion of international cooperation.

- Development of the second stage rehabilitation.

- Development of Information Systems, IT-technologies and Paperless Workflow.
