Don't you only cultivate wheat?

Our commercial farm unit has a developed livestock facility represented by cattle stock, horses, sheep, pigs and we are breeding poultry too. The main principle of work in this branch is the livestock and poultry management in natural environment – fodder crops are sown and there are special pastures for them. Our interest is to provide our consumers only with environmentally friendly products. We grow vegetables and melons.

Do you use new technologies in your production?

New technologies in production, of course, are taken into consideration, but grain growers largely rely on experience and knowledge of their lands. All necessary agrotechnical measures are just in time. I am indifferent to foreign-made machinery, we prefer to buy machinery from the CIS countries (tractors Belarus, Kirovets, harvesters Ruslan, Vector). What is the point of investing in a foreign economy? This saves costs on maintenance and spare parts, it allows us to pay machine operators a bigger salary.

According to the President of Kazakhstan, the business should be socially oriented, does it mean a lot for the agriculture and farming unit?

Certainly. We financially support all significant events in Burevestnik Village. The farming unit’s money was used to have the kindergarten renovated. Financial aid to low-income families is provided. Particular attention is paid to youth, after all these are the people that one day will have to replace the current team. Young people who will be working in that team should not regret anything, realizing that they are doing a real thing here, there is a sincere friendship and mutual assistance in the same way as it was in a culture of the agricultural pioneers.
